The ARC collection by LE KLINT stands out from the crowd of their traditional hand-folded pleated lampshades—but not too far. It’s based on the concept of reinterpreting the pleated lampshade. The lamp is made from the same familiar material that we know from LE KLINT lamps, but it is built around to identical shells merged to form one lampshade. The two halves come together using natural or black oak veneer, which gives the lamp its modern twist.
The goal of the collection is to target younger consumers, both in terms of price and design. Based on the traditional and paired with the modern, the lamp casts a lovely glow. The arched lines are inspired by the iconic arches of Grundtvig’s Church in Copenhagen, which was designed by P.V. Jensen Klint—the man behind the first pleated lampshade.
