La Lampe Gras, an icon of the 20th century. In 1922, Bernard-Albin GRAS designed a number of lamps that were intended for use in offices and industry. The GRAS lamp, as it was later named, was totally unique with its simple, robust yet highly ergonomic design. The basic shape uses with neither screws nor welded joints. In 1927, Ravel bought the patent of La Lampe GRAS and started producing the lamps.
