Parachilna - Spanish design in iconic Danish company
In room 506 of the iconic Radisson Blu Hotel in Copenhagen hangs an Aballs pendant from Parachilna. The hotel, previously known as the SAS Royal Hotel, also contains room 606 - the only room that has been preserved exactly as Arne Jacobsen designed it back in 1960 when the hotel first opened its doors. Arne Jacobsen originally designed the interiors for the whole hotel and many design icons were created specifically for the hotel.

That one of Parachilna’s pendants hangs in the hotel is no accident – Jaime Hayon, the designer behind the Aballs series – decorated the room. Room 506, which the hotel also calls the Fritz Hansen Comtemporay Inspirered Signature Suite, is a blend of Danish and Spanish design languages. It was decorated in association with Fritz Hansen as a tribute to Arne Jacobsen. Jaime Hayon has created several pieces of furniture for Fritz Hansen, making him the clear choice to take on the design of room 506. The Aballs perfectly complements Denmark’s first and most iconic design hotel.
