Sometimes the simple things are the most long-lasting and unforgettable. The Topan Pendant VP6 is a genius example of that. It was the first mass-produced lamp by Verner Panton, and Topan’s simplicity and coolness has proven to be a long-lasting and timeless contribution to lighting. Topan was originally developed for the hotel and restaurant Astoria In 1960 in Trondheim, Norway in 1960. Panton used his textile design Geometry I-IV for floors, walls and ceilings to give the room a more uniform look, and Topan pendants were hung throughout to make big rooms feel smaller and more intimate.
