The lamps are manufactured in Italy, France, Germany, the United States, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. The company’s goal is to provide lighting to everyone who needs it and for this reason, Artemide often initiates acquisitions in other to strengthen its position as one of the leading companies for total solutions. For more than 40 years, Artemide has managed to remain a supplier of lighting that acts as both companion and comforter, in the physical as well as the mental sense. Ross Lovegrove

Background
Ross Lovegrove was born in Cardiff, Wales and graduated from Manchester University with a BA in industrial design in 1980 and took a Masters in design at Royal College of Art in London in 1983.

In the early 80’s Ross Lovegrove worked for Frog Design in West Germany, where he designed Walkmen for Sony and computers for Apple.

Later he moved to Paris where he worked as a consultant for Knoll. In 1986 he returned to London where he worked on projects for Airbus, Kartell, Ceccotti, Cappellini, Idee, Moroso, Luceplan, Driade, Peugeot, Apple, Issey Miyake, Vitra, Olympus, Yamagiwa, Tag Heuer, Hackman, alias, Herman Miller, Japan Airlines and Toyo Ito architects.

Ross Lovegrove has received many awards and many of his designs are on display at the biggest museums in the world.
