Make your interior cosier with the cosy knitted lamps from the Grass series by Forestier

Charm and bohemian aesthetics radiate from every pore of every lamp from the beautiful Grass collection. The lighting collection, which consists of wall, table, floor and pendant lamps in a multitude of different sizes and colours, was conceived by German product designer Jet Scheib in 2021 in collaboration with French lighting manufacturer Forestier. With the Grass lighting collection, Scheib wanted to express the serenity inherent in the traditional weaving process. The natural materials, colours and design reflect the landscape and fields where the basket weaving materials are grown. Scheib's handwriting is clearly reflected in the design of Grass, which with its continuous circular shape, the structure of the braided ropes, the warm colour combination and the exquisite material composition of rattan and abaca, shows all the signs of accomplished design craftsmanship of the highest quality. The braided surface adds a tactile element to the lamp design, which in combination with the warm colour combination and striped pattern gives the Grass series an exotic look. Especially the larger lamps of the series have a wide, flat shade with a strong decorative note that allows the lamps to function not only as a light source but also as a beautifying interior design element. Because the shades are flat, these models are fitted with a diffuser that shields the bulb so that the light is emitted softly and pleasantly from all sides. The lamp is not limited to one type of room, but can easily be incorporated in the living room and hallway, where it creates an eye-catching focal point among guests and visitors, as well as in the bedroom, where it spreads a peaceful atmosphere through its relaxing design and soft light quality.
