A modern classic that oozes Danish design

Over the years, a large number of talented and renowned designers and architects have designed shades and lamps for Le Klint. One of these is the Danish designer Mogens Koch, who in 1942 made the drawings for the Model 105 Pendant . While working on the design of the lamp, Koch took Kaare Klint's "Fruit Lantern", another acclaimed classic, as his starting point. However, Koch made some updates and simplified the many cross-pieces into a tighter shape, giving the Model 105 more rigor and coherence in its design. The oval shape gives the pendant a calm expression, inspired by the shape of traditional Japanese paper lanterns. Model 105 can thus rightly be called the forerunner of the beautiful japandi style, which has been widely adopted in minimalist style concepts and many modern interiors.

The pendant is made with the special folding technique that is Le Klint's hallmark, combining soft shapes with sharp angles and crisp edges. The Le Klint shades are all handmade and today, as when the production of Le Klint lamps began, the skilled folding girls are behind the beautiful shades. Over the years, they have translated the designers' models into the beautiful shades with precision and dexterity. The pleated shade closes around the light source, making the pendant suitable for mounting high up in the room, from where it can easily function as ambient lighting. As the shade encloses the light source, the light never glares but shines out to all sides in a uniform glow. The shade evens out the light and creates a particularly soft and pleasant light, which is why the Model 105 Pendant can also be easily integrated into the bedroom. At the same time, the iconic pleated pattern is highlighted, so the lamp shines with Danish design from every pore.
