A new garden lamp – galvanised or black?
It’s entirely up to you own taste whether you choose a garden lamp with a galvanized finish or in black, although the difference between them is more than just their colour. Galvanised garden lamps are inexpensive to maintain and are usually designed specifically for outdoor use. Hot-galvanised garden lamps are also environmentally friendly. Galvanised products are very durable and have a long lifespan. A galvanized finish is sliver-grey in colour, so it works well in many different situations and can almost disappear into its surroundings. Black garden lamps look great in an outdoor environment too. One small disadvantage is that a black finish can look dirty over time, but that’s easily solved with a cloth, a bucket of soapy water and a little elbow grease. Otherwise, black garden lamps are just as durable as galvanized models.
