If you ever watched Star Trek, you might have noticed Stemlite on the clinical chrome-coated interiors of the spaceships—and when Bill Curry designed the lamp in Los Angeles, it was with the Space Race and the future he was facing in mind. It’s a lamp packed with meaning, and GUBI’s relaunch is a great way to be reminded of a time when everything was possible. The lamp now comes with a built-in dimmer.
