Philips Hue Bluetooth
A Philips HUE Bluetooth bulb provides the same fantastic properties we know from the Philips HUE bulbs: the ability to control the lighting in your home by smartphone or tablet. With Bluetooth you have the option to control your bulb directly without connecting a Philips HUE Bridge. By installing the Philips HUE Bluetooth app, you can control the light as long as your bulb is within Bluetooth range. Choose from three different Philips HUE collections:
HUE White - adjust brightness
Simple and comfortable lighting you can control by remote or smartphone. With the HUE White collection, you can adjust brightness.
HUE White Ambience - adjust temperature and brightness
The option to dim the light and set its colour from cold to warm (2200-6500 Kelvin), allowing you to adjust your light at all hours.
HUE White & Color Ambience - choose colour and brightness
The Color & Ambience collection lets you choose from 16 million nuances and adjust brightness. Relax with a move-night nuance or make the light follow music, film, or game—all from an app on your phone.

The advantage of a Bluetooth bulb is that it doesn’t need the HUE Bridge to work unlike non-Bluetooth models. Once the bulb is in the socket, you can easily control it using the Philips HUE Bluetooth app without further installation. The HUE Bluetooth bulbs are also a great fit for those who want to try the HUE system before going all-in with a bridge and advanced features.
You can add up to 10 Bluetooth light sources to control via the HUE Bluetooth app whenever you’re in range of the bulb, i.e. within around 10 metres. Use the intelligent light source to create the right atmosphere in a specific room by dimming or increasing the brightness and changing the temperature or nuance. You usually need different kinds of lighting depending on the time of day—get up and running with energising lighting or use relaxing lighting to ease yourself into the day or wind down at night.
