The Bilboquet Tomato table lamp is a beautiful new original design from 2023 by Canadian designer Philippe Malouin for Italian lighting company FLOS. The design-oriented appearance of the light is reflected not only in its elegant look, but also in its innovative lighting technology, which is designed for flexibility and user-friendliness.
The light is inspired by and named after the classic 16th-century French toy that is still popular today: a string connecting a cup to a ball that you have to try to catch. The lamp is equipped with a magnetic ball joint that connects the base to the lampshade and can be swivelled to adjust the light direction with the utmost precision. The socket fits a GU10 LED bulb. The light is relatively focused, making it well suited for working, reading and other activities.
