If you're a fan of the old classic authors, the Around The World lamp might bring back memories of a certain French author.
This is, of course, the second most translated author in history, second only to William Shakespeare, Jules Verne. In 1863, he wrote about three men, Dr Samuel Fergusson, Joe and Richard Kennedy, travelling across Africa in the book "Five Weeks in a Balloon" - a book that inspired Luigi Vittorio Cittadini to design the balloon-like "Around The World" lamp for Umage.
The lamp is available as a pendant lamp, but it's also possible to buy just the lampshade, which is the one you're looking at now. Combine it with a stylish pendant and use it in your reading corner! The lampshade can be reversed and used on a table lamp.
