Ginger 20 C Wall/Ceiling Lamp Wenge-Wenge was created by Joan Gaspar as a tribute to Ginger Baker, the drummer from the British 60s band Cream.
Wood is a difficult material to work with, but the Ginger collection has managed to do it with elegance and flair. Sheets of wood and paper are pressed together under high pressure to produce a laminate that’s almost completely flat. The result is a shade only 4 mm thick – it has a white inside and an outside characterised by its high-quality wood finish. This is a shade that provides indirect illumination that discreetly lights up the room.
