The Primary Shape Concrete wall light was designed by architect Thijs Prinsen of Lens°ass Architects for the Belgian design brand Serax. It forms part of the Primary Shape collection, which emerged from a renovation project. The inspiration for the clean, rectangular shape came from the large number of reusable bricks on site. The minimalist design draws on this architectural aesthetic and translates it into a timeless light with a sculptural character.
The concrete version is one of two variants in the collection and was specifically developed to create atmospheric, indirect light. The light is directed evenly onto the wall and the floor beneath, creating a pleasant atmosphere and striking lighting accents. With its simple geometry, the wall light blends harmoniously into modern residential and commercial spaces.
Crafted from concrete, each piece bears the characteristic features of a natural material. Slight variations in colour, texture and finish are intentional and make each light a unique piece.
