The 214 wall light is an icon of the 20th century; its roots date back to 1922, when Bernard Albin Gras put the first carefully considered sketches to paper. Since then, the range has grown. Designed for offices and industrial settings, the series was unique in its simple, robust yet ergonomic design. The basic form featured neither screws nor welded joints.

Lampe Gras lights are the epitome of functionalism and aesthetics; in particular, the design of individual details such as arms, bodies, fittings and the composition of the parts display a fantastically well-thought-out originality that was far ahead of its time.
