A331 Beehive Pendant Black/Brass was originally designed in 1953 by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. The lamp was launched in 2018, and aside from the original white version, it was also available in black. The pendant has been named the Beehive after its distinct shape that looks like a beehive.
The decorative pendant is a good example of Alvar’s fascination with indirect light and organic shapes. The perforated rings don’t just create a warm light, but also give the lamp a sculptural expression, whether it’s on or off. The unique design has a timeless expression that continues to be popular for interior design..
