The AJ table was designed in 1960 by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu). The light was part of the overall design concept for the hotel. Several of the hotel's products have now achieved iconic design status, and in the field of lighting, the AJ lamps in particular have become world-famous. To mark the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ family, five new colour variants have been introduced. The new colours have been carefully selected according to an updated colour concept by Arne Jacobsen.
