ANA Pendant Light Black - Gubi

The ANA pendant lamp was designed by Barba Corsini in collaboration with Joaquim Ruiz Millet. The ANA pendant lamp is an extension of the original PD2 floor lamp, which Corsini designed for La Pedrera in 1955, and has the same characteristic look and iconic status. The inspiration for the lampshade can be found in La Pedrera's cylindrical chimneys. The ANA pendant has a powerful, simple character that is also a fitting description of Corsini's personal design style and fits well into a modern home.

Barba Corsini was selected in 1955 to renovate the ceilings of Antoni Gaudi's famous landmark, La Pedrera. Here, she transformed a laundry room and storage area into 13 modern apartments. To complete the architectural experience, Corsini specially decorated the apartments with her own designs inspired by the building's characteristics.
In 1991, it was decided that the ceilings in La Pedrera should be restored to Gaudi's original vision. Corsini's interior was torn down and most of it discarded. But during the renovation, architect and gallery owner Joaquim Ruiz Millet found the PD2 floor lamp and saved it from being thrown away. Ruiz Millet began working with Corsini and his designs,
renewing the original products and making them more widely known and available to the public.
