Jules Verne is the second most translated author in history after William Shakespeare. In 1863, he wrote about three men, Dr Samuel Fergusson, Joe and Richard Kennedy, who travelled across Africa in the book "Five Weeks in a Balloon" – a book that inspired Luigi Vittorio Cittadini to design the balloon-like "Around The World" lamp for UMAGE.
