The Aurora ceiling light is a radiant highlight that lends every room a luxurious aura. Thanks to its practical magnetic system, Aurora can be easily attached to the ceiling. The artistically designed lampshade can be easily removed, making both bulb replacement and cleaning particularly convenient.

Made from high-quality technopolymers specially developed by Italian lighting manufacturer Slamp, Aurora combines innovative material technology with expressive design. The light was designed by internationally renowned architect and designer Nigel Coates. A graduate of the University of Nottingham, Coates was professor and head of the architecture department at the Royal College of Art in London from 1995 to 2011 and art director at Slamp from 2008 to 2010. His designs are characterised by a combination of art, intelligence and architecture – always interpreted with passion, irony and a keen sense of space and object.

Since its foundation in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani, Slamp has been synonymous with the development of innovative, partly patented materials such as Cristalflex®, Opalflex® and Lentiflex®. These exclusive technopolymers enable extraordinary lighting effects, are particularly durable and are processed without adhesives or screws. Instead, the lights are created by hand with precision using sophisticated plug connections – for designs that would be almost impossible to achieve with conventional materials.
