Beat Floor Lamp Black from Tom Dixon is a lovely and elegant floor lamp worth every penny, and no matter which room you place the lamp in, Beat will feel right at home, and its elegance will rub off on its surroundings.
The lampshade is inspired by traditional Indian water containers, and once the shape was settled, it was only natural that Tom Dixon took a trip to the source of his inspiration to get the lamp manufactured. The brass is made by hand by artisans in northern India, and the traditional process takes four days.
In other words, this is a lamp that has been spoiled from day one—and the contrast between the irregular inside of the lampshade and the polished glossy outside is nothing short of stunning.
