The BL2 table lamp Ø16 Black Brass/Classic White was designed in 1930 by Robert Dudley Best. It is an internationally sought-after design with strong references to the Bauhaus. Winston Churchill, who was once Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, chose the Bestlite BL1 table lamp for his desk in Whitehall. It is said that Churchill took the light with him on his travels around the world. This was the big breakthrough for Bestlite and helped make the light the classic it is today.
