Copenhagen SC13 table lamp Opal Glass - &Tradition

The Copenhagen SC13 table lamp opal glass was designed with a strong maritime inspiration, as the gas lamps from the capital's harbour facilities strongly influenced its shape. The basic shape has been modernised, but the lacquered metal shade, which is clamped to the cord with stretched, curved metal, reveals its historical background.

The starting point was to create a design that would allow the use of different metals, but also for a purely sculptural design with a simple execution. Copenhagen is designed with a unique eye for detail and a focus on surface texture, combining the classic with the modern in a unique way.
It is no secret that Space Copenhagen has extensive experience as an interior designer, and this is evident in the care that has gone into the design. The flexibility built into the light and the attention to detail are almost overwhelming. Even the amount of light emitted by the table lamp was carefully planned from the outset. The lampshade is largest in the middle and tapers towards the top and bottom, giving it volume and weight and protecting the viewer from looking directly into the light source.
