Copenhagen SC7 pendant light, black/brass - &Tradition

The Copenhagen pendant light SC7 Matt Black/Bronzed Brass was designed with a strong maritime inspiration, as the gas lamps from the capital's harbour facilities strongly influenced its shape. The basic shape has been modernised, but the lacquered metal shade, which is clamped to the cord with stretched, curved metal, refers to its historical background.

The starting point was a design that allows the use of different metals, but also for a purely sculptural design with a simple finish. The Copenhagen pendant light was designed with a unique eye for detail and a focus on surface texture, combining the classic with the modern in a unique way.
It is no secret that Space Copenhagen has extensive experience as an interior designer, and this is evident in the care that has gone into the design. The flexibility built into the light and the attention to detail are almost overwhelming. Even the amount of light emitted by the pendant light was carefully planned from the outset. The lampshade is largest in the middle and tapers at the top and bottom, giving it volume and weight and protecting the viewer from looking directly into the light source.
