Note on raw copper: The lampshade is initially supplied bare and untreated and has not yet developed a patina upon receipt. Natural oxidation only begins after unpacking, through contact with the air. Humidity, temperature and other environmental factors influence the process, which is why it is not possible to specify an exact timeframe for the patina to develop. The copper may begin to darken visibly after as little as 14 days.

Over time, the lampshade develops its own unique raw copper look, naturally changing its colour tones in the process. If you wish to speed up the oxidation process, you can store the lampshade outdoors in the shade for a few days, ensuring it is protected.
