The Lampe Gras 304SW wall light is a 20th-century icon. Its origins date back to 1922, when Bernard-Albin Gras developed the first designs for his series of lights. Originally conceived for offices and industrial applications, the range impressed with its simple, robust yet ergonomic design. The basic construction required no screws or welded joints.

The 304 wall light in black epitomises the fusion of functionalism and aesthetics. In particular, the design of the individual details – such as the arms, body, fittings and the assembly of the components – demonstrate a well-thought-out originality that was far ahead of its time.

Le Corbusier was fascinated by the modern design of the Lampe Gras lights from an early stage and incorporated them into his projects. Today, the lights in the Lampe Gras series are design classics and collector’s items in high demand worldwide, particularly in France, the USA and Japan. Bernard-Albin Gras’s visionary design has proved to be timeless.

Note on the version: The 304SW is designed for flush-mounting directly into the wall with a switch. Alternatively, the model is available as a flush-mounted version without a switch (304) and with a cable for connection to a power point (304CA).
