The Lampe Gras 317 table lamp combines the collection’s characteristic design language with a compact and functional form. The combination of black, white and raw copper makes it a striking focal point on desks, side tables or work surfaces.

The history of Lampe Gras dates back to 1922, when Bernard-Albin Gras developed his first well-thought-out designs. Originally conceived for offices and industrial spaces, the collection is characterised by simple, robust and ergonomic design. The basic construction required no screws or welded joints.

Le Corbusier was an early admirer of the Lampe Gras’s modern aesthetic and incorporated the lights into his projects. Bernard-Albin Gras’s visionary design has stood the test of time as a timeless classic.

In the raw copper finish, the lampshade is initially supplied untreated and without a patina. Over time, the copper oxidises due to exposure to air, moisture and environmental factors, developing its own unique colour. The first signs of darkening may become visible after around 14 days.
