Lampe Gras 323 L pendant light – conical in raw copper and white

The Lampe Gras 323 L pendant light combines the collection’s iconic design language with a distinctive conical lampshade in raw copper and white. The combination of warm metal and a light-coloured finish gives the light an elegant yet striking appearance.

The origins of the Lampe Gras date back to 1922, when Bernard-Albin Gras developed his first well-thought-out designs. Originally conceived for offices and industrial spaces, the range is characterised by simple, robust and ergonomic design. The basic construction requires no screws or welded joints.

Le Corbusier was an early admirer of the Lampe Gras’s modern design and used the lights in his projects. Bernard-Albin Gras’s visionary design has since established itself as a timeless classic.

Raw copper – natural patina

The lampshade, made from raw copper, is initially supplied bare and untreated. The characteristic patina only develops after unpacking, through contact with the air and natural environmental influences.

Over time, the copper oxidises, causing it to change colour. A visible darkening may occur after as little as 14 days. The speed and intensity of the patina formation depend, amongst other things, on humidity, temperature and the prevailing environmental conditions.

In this way, the shade of the 323 L develops its own unique raw copper look over time.
