Lampe Gras 323 XL Pendant Light – generous design language with a distinctive patina

The Lampe Gras 323 XL pendant light combines the generous XL size with the collection’s iconic design language. Its clean, striking design makes it a real eye-catcher above large dining tables, work surfaces or in spacious rooms.

The origins of the Lampe Gras date back to 1922, when Bernard-Albin Gras developed his first designs. Originally conceived for offices and industrial spaces, the collection is characterised by simple, robust and ergonomic design. The basic construction required no screws or welded joints.

Le Corbusier was an early admirer of the Lampe Gras’s modern design language and incorporated the lights into his projects. Bernard-Albin Gras’s visionary design has proved timeless to this day.

In the raw copper finish, the surface is left untreated and is initially supplied without a patina. Once unpacked, the natural ageing process of the copper begins due to exposure to air, moisture and environmental factors. The surface may darken visibly after as little as 14 days, although the rate at which the patina develops depends on the specific conditions.
