The Rituals ceiling light captures the magic of the famous oriental rice lamp in handblown Venetian glass, treating the viewer to a truly captivating chalk-like effect.
The striking ‘indentations’ on the surface are the result of a revival of the traditional grinding technique used during the finishing process of this fine glass. The graphic effect that characterises the surface enchants and captivates the viewer, whilst their thoughts drift to a completely different, ephemeral material: rice paper stretched over a delicate bamboo frame.
