VL Studio – Timeless design by Vilhelm Lauritzen

The VL Studio was designed in the 1940s for what was then the headquarters of Danish Broadcasting Corporation in Copenhagen. The lights were installed outside the recording studios to indicate whether a recording was in progress. The iconic architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed numerous lights for the VL collection. The VL Studio was reissued in 2022.

The VL Studio is reminiscent of the Radiohus pendant light. Thanks to their opal-white glass, both lights emit a diffused and pleasant glow that creates a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The VL Studio is based on the original head and the characteristic materials: polished brass with a brushed finish, as well as a matt black version. Whilst the polished brass exudes warmth and elegance, the black version gives the light a graphic, clean and modern look.

The table lamp is available in various sizes and is therefore suitable for both tables and the floor. No matter where you place the light, its simplicity, elegance and high-quality materials lend the room a modern touch and a warm atmosphere.

The VL Studio design is also available as a wall light. Thanks to the three-layered opal glass, it emits a soft, glare-free and diffused light. The glass ensures even light distribution. The lampshade can be swivelled 90 degrees to the left and right, allowing you to flexibly adjust the light distribution to suit your needs.
