VP Globe 40 Pendant Brass - Verpan

VP Globe in brass was launched to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Verner Panton’s birth – a tribute to the man, his unique design language and his enduring appeal.
Verpan, in dialogue with his widow Marianne Panton, chose a brass finish as an alternative to aluminium as that metal’s warm tones create a decorative interplay with Globe’s flashes of blue and red.
This special VP Globe consists of a transparent acrylic dome containing five reflectors – some spray-lacquered in red and blue – hung decoratively on thin brass chains. Unlit, this functional light fixture looks a bit like an enormous soap bubble, while when it’s lit it resembles a floating UFO. Pantons ambition with VP Globe was to create a lamp that would catch the eye and hold the attention of a room whether it hung alone or in a group. This remarkable pendant is ideal in an entry, over a dining table, or in a long hallway.
Every VP Globe lamp is individually number and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This guarantees the provenance of this very special object and helps to combat parallel imports and counterfeiting.
