Pete Hein
Piet Hein was much more than a designer. He was a poet, mathematician, philosopher and inventor - a modern universalist who moved freely between art and science. It is precisely this multidisciplinary approach that today characterizes the Danish brand Piet Hein: a collection of home accessories and lamps that unites function with aesthetics and thoughtful simplicity. Piet Hein's design is based on the idea that form should not only follow function - it should also create meaning. His most iconic contribution, the Superellipse®, was originally developed for a traffic solution in Stockholm, but quickly became a basic form in both architecture and furniture design. Today, the Superellipse is the epitome of Piet Hein's philosophy: mathematical precision combined with human intuition.
Piet Hein - Where science, poetry and design meet in harmony
Among the most famous products is the SINUS lamp, which with its undulating shapes and simple elegance is a perfect example of Piet Hein's ability to create a balance between light, space and tranquility. Lamps are not just lighting - they are sculptural pieces that contribute to the mood and visual expression of any room.
The brand also offers home accessories where the design is characterized by the same ideals. From Superellipse-shaped tabletops to decorative objects such as the Super Egg and the iconic poem smear pieces, this is design that stimulates both thought and senses. Each object carries the legacy of Piet Hein: a search for harmony and beauty in simplicity.
Piet Hein is for those who want more than just functional design. It's for those who want to surround themselves with ideas. Explore the collection of lamps and home accessories - and bring poetry, precision and true Danish design into your home.
