The Fritz Hansen Story

Over the course of its first two years, the workshop on Christianshavn developed into a thriving company and the foundation of high-quality products was laid from the very beginning.

Since then, the company trademark has been to deliver recognisable high-quality products, characterised by their timeless designs that ensure temporal durability.

Over the years, Fritz Hansen has delivered furnishing and lighting solutions to famous buildings such as Christiansborg, Universitetsbibiloteket, Copenhagen City Hall, Højesteret, Royal Hotel, etc. and these are only a few of the examples.

One of the most famous icons from the Fritz Hansen portfolio is Ægget, which has proven its popularity through decades, generations, continents, and a host of other indefinable borders.

This lovely armchair pairs high quality with a thorough design, seemingly effortlessly. Its design is timeless and stirs up all the best emotions.

The company has been manufacturing its Kaiser Idell lamp collection since the 1930s.

These groundbreaking lamps are made in the innovative Bauhaus style and fully satisfy Fritz Hansen’s demand for impeccable high quality and design that withstands the test of time.
