The AJ table lamp was designed in 1960 by Arne Jacobsen for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu). The lamp was part of the overall design concept for the hotel. Several of the hotel's products have now achieved iconic design status, and within the field of lighting, the AJ lamps in particular are world-famous. To mark the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ family, five new colour variants have been introduced. The new colours have been carefully selected in line with Arne Jacobsen's updated colour concept.

The head of the AJ table lamp provides directional, asymmetrical light and can be tilted continuously. Several of the hotel's products have now achieved iconic design status, and within the field of lighting, the AJ lamps in particular are world-famous.
