AJ Wall Light Petroleum - Louis Poulsen

The AJ wall light in light petroleum was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (now Radisson Collection Hotel, Royal Copenhagen) and was part of the complete design concept for the hotel. More than one of the hotel's products has since achieved design icon status, and among the lighting products, the AJ lamps are internationally renowned.

To mark the 60th anniversary of Arne Jacobsen's iconic design, Louis Poulsen has introduced a new and dynamic colour palette for the popular AJ table, floor and wall lights.
Colours can appeal to us physically and stimulate our senses. Colours can be used to separate, organise and feel things. In addition to black, white and light petrol, the new collection consists of seven colours: dark green, ochre yellow, rust red, midnight blue, aubergine and two shades of grey. The colours are closely linked to the universe of Arne Jacobsen and were selected to best emphasise the essence of the AJ light.

The AJ wall light in light petrol is equipped with a head that has a characteristic asymmetrical shape, which is essential for the light characteristics of the light. The head of the AJ wall light can be rotated 60 degrees from side to side and tilted. With its unique look, the light is a modern classic.
A completely unique profile with global recognition, whose roots date back to 1960, when the SAS Royal Hotel was launched as a complete design concept that has since achieved cult status.
