GEJST DAIKU Picture Frame – Timeless elegance in dark oak and glass
The GEJST DAIKU picture frame, measuring 50 × 70 cm, combines the clarity of Nordic design with the sophistication of traditional Japanese woodworking. The dark oak construction and the tinted background glass create a striking interplay of material, transparency and depth. Inspired by Japanese techniques such as kumiko and sashimono, the frame is characterised by its precise design and the appearance of a seamless join.
The generous, overhanging glass surfaces make the image appear to float freely within the frame, lending photographs, art prints or pressed flowers a special effect. Thanks to its understated yet striking design, DAIKU is versatile enough for use in both living and working spaces.
Designed by GEJST Design and Amalie Bergholdt, this picture frame combines inspiration from traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, transforming personal images into stylish design elements.
