The 214 wall light is an icon of the 20th century. Its roots date back to 1922, when Bernard-Albin Gras put the first carefully considered sketches to paper. The range has grown ever since. Conceived for offices and industrial settings, the range was unique in its simple, robust yet ergonomic design. The basic form featured neither screws nor welded seams.

The lights in DCW’s Lampe Gras range epitomise functionalism and aesthetics. In particular, the design of individual details such as the arms, body, fittings and the assembly of the parts display a well-thought-out originality that was far ahead of its time.
