VL45 Radiohus hanging light, Ø 37 cm, white - Louis Poulsen

VL45 Radiohus pendant light Ø370 V3 Brass/Opal Glass Glossy is a classic lamp designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. It was originally designed in the late 1940s for DR's Radiohus in Copenhagen. In 2016, the light was reissued under the name VL45 Radiohus Pendant, and in 2019, a smaller size was added to the range to offer more application possibilities.
The design is true to the original, with a brushed brass frame and a lampshade consisting of three layers of handblown opal glass. The outer layers are made of transparent, glossy glass, while the middle layer is made of white glass. This construction ensures that the light emits an even and soft light, while the opening at the bottom creates a more concentrated, downward light. The quality of the glass ensures that the light appears uniform regardless of the light source used. Please note that the surface of the brass is untreated, which means that the surface will change over time and take on a beautiful patina.
The VL45 Radiohouse pendant light is suitable for both high and low placement, making it versatile for use in different rooms and interiors. It is available in different sizes, allowing you to adapt the lighting to different needs and room sizes.
