The Great Outdoors with Flindt and Louis Poulsen – New Flindt Garden Bollard

The award-winning designer Christian Flindt has created the lovely new Flindt Garden Bollard just in time for summer and long nights on the terrace in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. The lovely outdoor lamp is an instant classic with an elegant minimalist shape and gorgeous indirect light that brings out the best in nature as well as neatly curated city garden. The graceful design is complete with an asymmetrical cut that gives the purist silhouette an organic touch. The placement of the light source at the top of the cut means that the light is reflected in the reflector and spreads along the ground as a soft organic light source, eventually catching and seducing the eye.

The lamp is designed by the Danish designer Christian Flindt, who made a name for himself on the international stage with his innovative and experimental approach to everything from furniture design to lighting. He started working with Louis Poulsen in 2006 and has won numerous awards since then. During this time, he has received Bolig Magasinet’s design award and the ELFORSK Award from Danish Energy in 2014 for the Flindt Bollard, the success of which has led to the creation of the Flindt Garden model. The fabulous functionalist design is classic Louis Poulsen as it toes the iconic line between shape and purpose, as the brand has been known to do since 1874.

Flindt Garden is available in a warm natural Corten shade or a cooler purist aluminium. It’s also available in two sizes with three different mounting solutions, bringing a high degree of flexibility into the setup. The lovely bollards look particularly wonderful in neat lines along paths and the edges of the garden, where they enchant the darkness with their lovely stylish glow and inviting light.
