NEW PRODUCT - Limited Edition by GUBI – 90 years of Bestlite

To mark the 90th anniversary of the table lamp in 2020, GUBI are launching a Limited Edition Bestlite collection comprising the BL1 table lamp, BL3 floor lamp, and BL5 and BL7 wall lamps with a nickel finish. There are only 300 lamps in each model, all equipped with a small metal plate engraved with the Bestlite 90 logo. The minimalist yet unique design harkens back to the Bauhaus style – a modern classic fit for any home office, workspace, or to light up the nightstand or dresser in the living room.

The coveted Bestlite table lamp was designed by Robert Dudley in 1930. It rose to prominence in the United Kingdom when then-Prime Minister Winston Churchill chose the Bestlite table lamp for his desk personally. The story goes that he even brought the lamp with him on his many trips around the world. This was Bestlite’s big break, and not only is the lamp beloved by architects, designers, and design lovers – it’s also considered a true classic.
