Say hello to this year’s unique Limited Edition from Louis Poulsen: PH 2/2 Question Mark, originally designed by Poul Henningsen in 1931. The elegant table lamp is clearly named after its shape, which is remarkably similar to a question mark.
With a brass frame, this new launch stays true to the original design from 1931 while being incredibly modern by current standards. Naturally, the lamp is fitted with the famous three-shade system invented by Poul Henningsen back in 1926. The glass-blown lampshades are made of classic opal glass, which is glossy on the outside and has a sandblasted interior surface.
A small handle is placed on the middle of the frame. Turning the handle allows you to tilt the upper part of the lamp to adjust the placement of light. This makes the lamp ideal for use at the desk, where it contributes a beautiful and practical reading or work light. The switch can be found on the base, right beneath the engraving of Poul Henningsen’s initials. This placement can be traced back to the Question Mark table lamps of the 1930s. The original detail, well-developed design, and exclusive material makes the Limited Edition table lamp a timeless work that immediately adds a touch of stylish elegance.
The lamp was manufactured until the mid-1950s. The launch of this year’s Limited Edition marks the first time the lamp is in production for more than 60 years.
